Concerns over street cleaning around Narberth have been brought to the attention of Narberth Urban Councillor, Marc Tierney.
Earlier in the year, Cllr Tierney raised the issue of weed clearing and general maintenance with officers at Pembrokeshire County Council following queries raised with him by local residents and business owners.
Last week, problem pot holes were fixed on St. James Street as well as a number of blocked drains being cleared.
But despite an annual weed clearing programme, a mild winter has exacerbated that problem in parts of the town.  Marc Tierney is due to meet to with the Cabinet Member for Services, Rhys Sinnett in the next week to highlight the situation.
Cllr Marc Tierney said: “Narberth welcomes tens of thousands of visitors from across Wales and beyond each year.  They come for the shopping experience, but also for our pubs and restaurants and to enjoy the wide range of events put on by local organisations.
“I want the visitor experience to be the best it can be so that people leave with a great impression of Narberth and plan a return visit.  But, I also want the right level of resource made available year round so that local residents know their town is being cared for.   By working together, we can ensure Narberth is a great place to live, work and visit.”
